About Us
The idea for Keepsakes & Such was born while staying home with my two small children. My father passed away two months after the birth of my second son, Gray. Gray will never remember my father, but “Wishes For My Baby Boy” would have been the perfect opportunity for my father to leave a tangible message from his own hand to his grandchild. As I was dreaming up the idea of “Wishes For My Baby”, a song that my husband wrote when I was pregnant with our first son, Finn, kept coming to my mind:
“I wish you joy, I wish you peace, I wish a smile upon your face. I wish you knowledge in the world, I hope you meet a pretty girl…”
This beautiful song is filled with hope and wishes for our son. All parents want great things for their children. A keepsake tin from Keepsakes & Such creates the opportunity for parents, friends, and family to write down their hopes, and dreams, and wishes for a special person whether it be a new baby, a graduate, or a bride.
As a former teacher, turned stay-at-home-mom, turned work-at-home-mom, I have never been happier. I get to create these beautiful keepsake gifts knowing that somebody is going to get a gift they will cherish for a lifetime, and even several lifetimes as these “wishes” get passed down from generation to generation.
I get to do all that while watching my children grow and learn everyday. I truly am blessed!
About Our Keepsake Tins
The idea behind Wishes For My Baby TM is simple:
Parents, friends and family fill out a card with love and "wishes" for the new baby to welcome him (or her) to the world. The cards are then kept in a keepsake tin so that as the baby grows he can look back at the cards and know how much he is loved.
I love looking at my own baby book and seeing what gifts my parents' friends and family gave to me when I was born. Wishes For My Baby takes it a step further. Now, when the baby is growing up he or she can open up their Wishes For My BabyTM keepsake tin and read personal wishes and messages that were written by friends and family specifically for them. What a meaningful and personal gift!
Keepsake tins from Keepsakes & Such are now available for other life events such as weddings, graduation, and infant baptisms.
